COLD PRESSED HEMPSEED OIL
An oil with a deep green color and a characteristic taste. In folk medicine, hemp seed has a crucial role, but nowadays the most widely known are the kinds with narcotic effects. Cannabis sativa however, does not contain such components (like THC). It consists of elements that are physiologically much more important, which makes it to a really precious oil.
It contains linoleic acid (an Omega-6 fatty acid), which strengthens the immune system; and linolenic acid (an Omega-3 fatty acid), which helps maintain a healthy heart and a healthy vascular system. It also has positive effects on eyesight.
There is much ongoing research on its role in the elimination of cancer cells.
It is among the most classic and most delicious oils and can be used for salads, soups, or as additional flavoring for meals that have already been prepared. It goes well with raw or fried vegetables (such as tomatoes), meals flavored with basil, and salty types of cheese (e.g. feta). It can be combined well with corn oil, due to its flavor and nutritional value.
